DrinkCalc is an Excel-based formulation tool designed to calculate ingredient masses, total soluble solids, acidity balance, and pre-mixes for beverage development and application. It consists of a main sheet for data entry and calculations, an editable list of ingredients, and a summary prepared for A4 printing or PDF export.
Users must select ingredients from the database and enter the doses they consider appropriate. DrinkCalc automatically calculates: total soluble solids (TSS) / °Brix calculation, titratable acidity contribution expressed as ACA, ingredient masses, and syrup or pre-mix quantities. If a specific °Brix or acidity value is desired, ingredient doses must be manually adjusted until the target value is achieved.
The database contains all ingredients used by the calculator, and its fields include: raw material name, reference number, °Brix, total acidity, density, and water alkalinity. New ingredients can be added, and a flavor °Brix calculator based on refractive index (RI) is included. The sheet provides a clear summary of the formulation in A4 format, ready for printing or PDF export.
